When it comes to deciding what type of panel you want your case made of, there are a few factors to consider:
Is weight an issue?
How big is your case?
Will you be flying/shipping it often?
Most commonly birch is chosen, but if your looking to save on weight and will flying/shipping your case often we recommend polypropylene. Both panel types come with a ABS laminated top.
Polypropylene is an upgrade on - pedal board cases, guitar cases, amp cases, small flat screens, and other cases of that nature. If you're looking to house multiple amps, drums, heavy equipment then your case is gonna be made from 3/8 or 1/2" birch.
All though polypropylene is a bit more expensive than birch ply, your case will be pay itself off with money you save on flying or shipping it.
